General Dentistry in Singapore
Everyday dental care for the whole family — check-ups to crowns, at heartland prices.
Complete care for every age
Smile Central's general dentistry covers the everyday needs of the whole family: check-ups, fillings, extractions, root canal treatment, crowns and bridges, dentures, protective mouth guards, and treatment for traumatic injuries to teeth and oral structures.
We see patients of all ages — we recommend children have their first visit around their first birthday, and our teams are used to helping little ones (and nervous adults) feel at ease in the chair.
Saving teeth, not just treating them
A root canal removes infected nerve tissue so we can save the tooth instead of extracting it — with modern local anaesthesia it feels similar to getting a filling. Crowns strengthen and protect heavily-filled or root-treated teeth, and bridges or dentures restore function when teeth are lost.
Whatever the treatment, we explain your options and costs before we start — no surprises.

General Dentistry — your questions answered
What is a root canal, and does it hurt?+
A root canal removes infected nerve tissue from inside a tooth so we can save it instead of extracting it. With modern local anaesthesia it feels similar to getting a filling — the toothache before treatment is usually far worse than the procedure.
When should my child first see a dentist?+
Around their first birthday, or within 6 months of the first tooth appearing. Early visits are quick and friendly, and help your child get comfortable with the dentist.
Is dental treatment safe during pregnancy?+
Yes — routine care like check-ups, scaling and necessary fillings is safe during pregnancy. Just let our team know you're pregnant so the dentist can plan your care appropriately.
What should I do about a knocked-out tooth?+
Act fast: hold the tooth by the crown (not the root), keep it moist in milk or your cheek, and get to a dentist within 30–60 minutes. Call us at 6743 1711 and we'll prioritise you.
Why are my teeth sensitive to hot and cold?+
Sensitivity usually comes from worn enamel, receding gums or a cavity. Desensitising toothpaste helps mild cases, but it's worth a check-up to rule out decay.
